about our songwriting workshop

Create, Sing, and Discover Your Voice

In this joyful 2-day workshop, songwriting becomes more than music — it’s a way for young singers to grow in confidence, creativity, and connection. As they learn to craft their own lyrics and melodies, they’ll also discover how to express themselves in a supportive space where their voices and ideas are celebrated.

The Heart Behind the Workshop

This workshop was inspired by a powerful moment in Sarah’s studio when a group of singers, navigating the ups and downs of school friendships, used songwriting to lift each other up. Instead of focusing on drama, they wrote songs about what they loved about one another — transforming the atmosphere into one of support, affirmation, and joy. That same spirit is at the heart of this workshop: songwriting as a tool for connection, self-expression, and confidence.

A Safe, Supportive Space for Creativity

Through improvisation, poetry-style writing, and singing with accompaniment and chords, you’ll explore both collaborative activities and solo moments. Along the way, you’ll have breakout opportunities for one-on-one guidance with Sarah to refine your ideas and bring your songs to life.

Whether you’re brand new to songwriting or already have a few songs under your belt, you’ll feel safe, supported, and inspired to create in community with like-minded singers.

You’ll Receive:

  • Two mornings of songwriting, singing, and creative exploration (10am–1pm each day)
  • A step-by-step process for generating ideas, writing lyrics, and crafting melodies
  • Collaborative activities and solo exploration to spark creativity
Breakout sessions for one-on-one guidance with Sarah
  • Tools to channel your own stories and feelings into songs you can carry with you for years to come
